Actually just bought the steering wheel and clock spring today, to do this same thing. Are you connecting to factory radio or aftermarket. Are you going to run the wires to an interface module? I hadn't looked for myself but is there a connector that is stowed to plug the audio controls from the clock spring? I'm planning on running four wires already but if there is a stowed connector then I will just use that

The clockspring has 2 harnesses: yellow & black.
Yellow = airbag
black = radio controls
Both go pretty much the length of the steering column. Both have plug disconnects behind the knee panel.

I have the radio control harness long enough to reach the radio harness plus a few inches.

My plan is to first get it 100% working with the factory radio. Then look into an aftermarket radio using the pac interface harness. Easier to eliminate any issues that way.
If one starts with an aftermarket radio then add the controls, more work to diagnose a problem if there is one.

So while the dash bezel was off, I removed some parts for quick cleaning & document my part numbers. I also wiped out the ac ductwork the best that I could.

The following says that there are 3 revision numbers outside of mine. It also says that it is 1999- 2001 only.
Leads to 2 questions: why not 2002 when the electrical changed for 2003 & what is the difference in the revisions?

Cargo / Foglight switch # 15735837
Switch is 99-02
You may not be able to tell in the 1st pic, but the clear coat/top coat was flaking. So I removed the remainder of it, fresh and new now.

I ordered up 6 3D printed cupholder Coasters from Etsy.
While the only color that he initially offered was black with red, I asked if he had other colors. He said that he had brown and provided a picture. The picture looked close to my Peanut Butter interior.
He also initially only offered the 1 size for the front.
I provided him the exact measurements of the rear, he adjusted as needed so they can be removed for cleaning/servicing.

Test fitting after arrival.

I just need to procure 2pcs of thin double-sided tape to secure the center console rear cupholder coasters, so that they don't fall when in the closed position.

Glass is definitely filthy. To be expected considering the condition of the box.
Glass appears to never have been installed.
Not sure why the part number on the box is different from the one on the Glass assembly??

Bought a tailgate assist shock kit off of ebay. $18 shipped. Not for me, but others that open my tailgate have a tendency to drop it, so my thought to help protect my truck vs yelling at people, was to put the kit on.

Took maybe all of 5min to install. The provided instructions were easy to follow & was straightforward to do.

For the underhood light, I've previously taken it apart & cleaned it thoroughly. It's hit or miss if it works. If I tap it, it works.
The oem part # is: 12450086
So instead of playing with it, I bought a brand new LED unit off of ebay. $16.50 shipped.
Works like a charm.

They are for the extended cab glass.

The thought process behind these is that by being slightly longer, it'll make the glass tighter to the body when closed. Therefore reducing or eliminating a leak between the glass & window frame due to the age of the assemblies.

This sounded sound to me.
while I currently don't have any leaks, I figured that it was cheap insurance?
