Beautiful work.

I no longer drink but have to guess. Is the bottle, on the counter in the background of the 1st pic, a 1/2 gallon bottle of Fireball?
It was actually a bottle of whiskey, I can’t remember the name. But now I use it to hold various liquids. Right now it’s got Hydraulic fluid in it when I serviced my coworkers tractor lol. I’m not much a drinker either, my teens was a different story however

Great, thank you!

Very nice trucks!
Thank you! The ‘72 has been in my family since 1973. Grandpa needed a new farm truck and he was a man who didn’t need much. It’s got a 5.3 swap in it, painted it in 2020 and most recently done the Vintage Air. Here’s a picture from before all the work was done IMG_4182.jpeg
Swapped to 6 lug, new bumper, interior, rewired the whole thing (grandpa was a fan of quick fixes) roached the 350 in 2019 and I was originally looking for a 454 but I found a whole 1999 Silverado for $400 that was rear ended. Since then it’s been a never ending project. Maybe one day I’ll think it’s good enough, then I’m sure my son will do stuff to it. I really want to lower it on 22” transport wheels though.

It had the LS swap done for a total of three hours when the original rear end retired. Found a donor 1970 frame with good axle for $200 so I went that route. With everything I’ve done to it I’m not the biggest on taking pictures of it. Now that it’s got AC I’ll be driving it WAYYYY more often now

This body style Chevy truck is still my favorite out of all body styles. My favorite trucks are the GMT800 series. I have a neighbor. About 4 blocks away in the neighborhood, there is a neighbor that loves these older series too. He has 5 of the 3/4 ton's and is constantly working on them. He is retired and has the time and has a garage kept one that he drives all the time. He has added on to his driveway, just so they do not get parked in the grass or on the street. If interested, I can get pics for here.

Now that’s a lineup! I’m not really a fan of the 73-87 model trucks because literally everyone and their dog has one. But up here I don’t see many 67-72s running around. I like being the odd one out.
they also have the best aftermarket support and parts

The 67-72 are not quite abundant anymore ;(

I have stopped and talked to that guy a couple of times and he has showed me his shop. It is impressive behind those 4 garage doors. I have walked around all the trucks and there is no rust through at all. It is all patina.

I’ve always like the OEM+ mods. Cab lights are a great addition to any 3/4 or 1 ton truck. Are you going to do the 3 light bar under the tail gate to complete the look?

They are on clearance right now…

It’s funny you say that. I probably won’t do the bar but since I have a surplus of the 3/4” bullet lights I may end up sticking three under the tailgate. I’ve always broken the single bar on my other 1 tons so maybe having flush mounted lights won’t be an issue

I like the bullet lights better, great idea.

When I rebuilt my car hauler I added smoked amber bullets all down the side, they look great on a black trailer.

I think, as close to stock as can get, the better. But these wheels/tires look great, too.

Sunday I went out south of Ringwood to scout a potential spot to get on the river this summer. Had to go out that way Thursday on a Service Call and I crossed over this bridge that had what I would call a sand island. From the top of the bridge you can clearly see tire tracks from ATVs and such. So I loaded up the Arctic Cat and went down there only to be let down, looking at the map I only found one entrance close but it's on a lease road. Bummer. Was really excited to only drive 20min to get to the river vs. an hour to our other spot.
