Also got the windows tinted on my ‘72. 10 years driving a fish bowl was enough for me. Went 5% on the sides and back and 30% on the windshield. Absolutely love the way it turned out and I think it adds attitude to the truckView attachment 3096
How legal is it where you live?

Had a bad storm a few weeks back and my LLY decided to take the opportunity to kill the front impact sensor. Currently looking for a replacement IMG_1423.jpeg

Also picked up an Envoy Denali steering wheel from LKQ (well my brother did as I’m on daddy duty) since everything was half off. Pretty excited to get it installed

Swapped it in! Took all of 5 minutes. I usually dread pulling steering wheels but this one just needed a little love side to side and came right off. All the buttons work too so that’s a plus as some of my old ones were getting obnoxious to useIMG_1435.jpeg

What year is your truck? My 05 the front sensor failed (15103523) and the aftermarket has new ones for 150-250$
And the factory replacement 10370150 and finally 85597996 are expensive
They only work 2005-2007 i think

Mine is an 05 as well, when my brother went to LKQ I had him look under all the GMT800s he came across and he couldn’t find any that were still there. With how common the issue is I’m not surprised either

I want to be safe but i also dont have that kinda cash for a non-essential system lol

Ok, I have reached out to a GM parts specialist at another forum I am on. I will make him aware it is for a 2500 HD series and not just generic to any Silverado.

He did respond back that the 85597996 # is the updated number and that has been discontinued.
