Loose steering

If you are gonna do that Wolff steering column bearing, while you are that deep in there, do yourself a favor and do the brake pedal pivot bushing and a new stop light switch.

How nice is it to do the pivot bushing?

It's right there and a PITA to get to. If I am gonna cram in that far to do that bottom column bearing, the cross bolt it hangs on is right there. The push rod for m/cyl. Has to be disconnected to drop the brake pedal and the switch is right there. I have done the bushing on a 2005 Tahoe. Tight fit for my big frame. I removed seat and laid in there and did it. The column bearing is right there. Do it all then.

Upper intermediate shaft and Wolff bearing installed today = big improvement.

Going to take it for an alignment next week & going to ask them to also adjust the steering box. Thinking a little adjustment will likely take out the remaining slop.
