What color are your climate controls LED’s? I’m pretty sure mine are blue and it’s definitely stock.
They're not LED's stock. The only LED's in the dash, stock, are the indicator lights in the gauge cluster. All the general illumination are small incandescent bulbs. Some of them depending on location have a small blue sleeve over the bulb that doesn't really give it a blue appearance, just a very slight tint of the color to remove the yellow.

IMO, you cannot beat Digital Dash Solutions for the cluster work and when you send back your old cluster, you get a lifetime warranty on the one they sent you. They send a return label for your old cluster to be sent with. Also, you can customize your new cluster if you wish. You did not say what the cluster would be going in and please do not think that ALL GMT800's are all the same. On my first go round, I added a transmission temp gauge to my 2005 Tahoe Z71 cluster.

I am sorry but I would have to ask or hunt for the heater control help.
yeh but they only do 03-07 there’s not a lot of options for 99-02 besides a few guys on ebay who do repairs.

About how long does it take for the cluster to arrive after ordering it?
Typically takes 3-5 work days. They also send you the return label and you wrap your old one in the same wrapping and put in box and label it and send back with Fed Ex, if I remember right. When you do that, they notify you that the new cluster you just received is now lifetime warranty.

I now have lifetime warranty clusters in my 2005 Tahoe Z71, added a transmission temp gauge and the 2004 Silverado K2500HD that had the bad oil pressure stepper motor.

The blue I was thinking of was the digital segmented display.

I placed my cluster order last night from digital dash solutions. I just hope it was the step motor that caused the temp indicator to go wonky. Also I ordered a Headlamp Dimmer Switch Replacement and climate control module from Amazon. Can't wait to install everything.

I've got the blue backlit gauges in my 04. It looks really nice. I've got a picture of it in the build thread on my truck, and a picture of the stepper motor failing and telling me I had astronomical oil pressure...

If you have a live data scanner, you can compare stepper motor readings with actual scanner readings. I was getting way high oil pressure readings, like @INW-Iron-Steel had.

Do you recommend a good scanner that won't break the bank?
I've got the Innova 5610 for my OBD 2 cars. It will do live stream and bidirectional tests. It also has some of the specific "manufacture" functions... though they may not all be there depending on the vehicle. It's not exactly "cheap" (couple hundred bucks), but it is about the best you can get without forking out multiple thousands of dollars on a "shop level" scanner that will do the bidirectional stuff.

I bought the refreshed version from Innova direct.

Foxwell NT710 GM $297 at Amazon. Is Live Data Bi Directional and for GM. Can also be upgraded for other manufacturers for a fee but I am having to wait till Monday to do that very thing for adding Ford and am unsure what that fee is. The $297 is already loaded for GM though. Helped me diagnose my oil pressure gauge problem on my 2004 Silverado K2500 HD. verified was the stepper motor and not the oil sensor. I really like this one for my 3 GM vehicles.

You can also get a Foxwell NT630 Plus that is also Bi Directional and Live Data but is generic and slower and is only $110 at Amazon. It does a nice job though.

Pull them both up at Amazon and have access to 2 cups of coffee and read all about them.
