2001 GMC single cab…I plan to install OEM style cab lights from a 2500/3500 version (already have the cab light switch installed and wire is coiled up in the headliner). Is there a paper template available or similar that I could use or available for purchase

Welcome to the forum! Sorry, I don't have a template. From what I've seen, most people just put them where they like them. To my eye, the outer markers are one light length back from the windshield, and the center light is a little more forward so that the tops of all the lenses are the same height. I don't have one to measure, just lookin' at them.
