IMO, you cannot beat Digital Dash Solutions for the cluster work and when you send back your old cluster, you get a lifetime warranty on the one they sent you. They send a return label for your old cluster to be sent with. Also, you can customize your new cluster if you wish. You did not say what the cluster would be going in and please do not think that ALL GMT800's are all the same. On my first go round, I added a transmission temp gauge to my 2005 Tahoe Z71 cluster.

I am sorry but I would have to ask or hunt for the heater control help.

Anyplace online that will replace a gauge cluster and heater control? My lights went out on my cluster and I tried to fix it by replacing the lights. Boy did I butcher that. Any recommendations?
I ordered the kit on amazon and redid the whole thing myself. Pretty easy if you take your time and get the one with the solder remover.

Including the heater controller? Pics of the work?
No just the cluster. I replaced all the bulbs and step motors. My AC control was also acting up and tried a Dorman from Amazon that didn’t work so well so I bought the exact model on eBay for 50.00 and works perfect.

I did the LED light upgrade on my 06 Suburban cluster and a few months later I did the electronic auto HVAC module. I don't remember it being too difficult, just takes a bit of time/patience.

I was supposed to do the steering wheel buttons but I forgot about that. Mine have a few that are burnt out. There's also kits for LEDs for the modules for 4x4 and the headlamp/fog light switch IIRC.

When it rains it pours. So now the stepper motor went out for the temp gauge. Lots of options to choose from to fix it or replace it.
If you have the capabilities, you will want to attach a live data scanner and make sure the coolant temp sender is good. Your stepper motor may be fine.

I did all the steppers and bulbs in my 2006 cluster. Also did the bulbs in the dual zone/automatic ("digital") A/C panel, and the steering wheel buttons. IIRC the digital A/C panel has two different types of bulbs in it, 12V and 6V

The whole reason for this job is my fuel gauge stepper went bad during a battery cable replacement. Figured since they're known for failure I did the whole thing.

This is the kit I used for my 2006 SS since it has the extra stepper for the transmission temperature: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01J50FOBA

These are the "grain of rice" bulbs I used in the steering wheel buttons: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L8BR76A

And finally here's the climate control bulb kit; note that you have to pick auto or manual on the controls as the bulbs are different: https://taninautoelectronix.com/product/2003-2006-gmc-chevrolet-truck-diy-climate-control-bulb-kit/ - I wish I could remember the information source I used to determine which bulbs were which. There's two circuit boards in the controls IIRC...sorry; don't have pics of doing that one, but it really wasn't a big deal.

The only real PITA is the replacement bulbs for those small ones in the buttons and A/C controls don't come with the blue covers that give them the correct color; you have to carefully pull them off the old bulbs and transplant to the new. Sometimes they're crispy which makes it tough.

So how did the cluster work with the transmission temp gauge? My classic has a blank spot there. If I did buy a cluster from digital dash would it have to be only the one without the trans gauge? This is what I have on mine. There are some really cool ones on the site but with the transmission gauge.

It will work just like factory. These trucks have always had a temperature sensor in the transmission valvebody wiring harness and the ECU knows what the ATF fluid temperature is and even adjusts a bit as necessary. It's just that done trucks displayed that on the cluster and not others.

I thought there was an option there to add that guage? I bet you can still call them and tell them you want it.

Sorry @ORVietVet I don't mean to be rude here by answering to your quote...

Yes, after I posted that I went to the website and found some more info that I missed. So, yeah it works. I was thinking to get this with blue LEDs with white pointers. Then I'll have to find a climate control with blue LED

Yes, the harness/wiring is already there and is just plug and play. When you reattach the connectors on the new cluster, it is connected. I did it on my 2005 Tahoe Z71. You can tell DDS that is what you want and customize as well. Give them a call or pick what you want at their site.

That’s exactly what my voltage one did, the kit with all new lights, stepper motors and even the tools needed was just 30.00 on amazon. I watched a few videos on YouTube first.
